A sequel to the 2006 Nintendo DS release, New Super Mario Bros., this new game version challenges players to rescue Princess Peach from the latest kidnapping by Bowser, and to collect as masses of Nintendo gold coins while doing so. Of all Mario titles released to date, New Super Mario Bros. 2 contains the the greatest emphasis on gold collection, with over a million coins available throughout the game’s 80+ stages. An extra player can even help when continuing from your solo play save file.

Coin collection is important in every adventure in the Mushroom Kingdom, but New Super Mario Bros. 2 takes this to new heights. The game is filled with more coins and gold-related features than any Mario game before, and includes the frenzied Coin Rush mode in which you play three levels back to back trying to earn as many coins as possible. In fact, the game literally holds more than a million possible coins, and keeps track of each for you as you proceed from beginning to end. SpotPass functionality built into the 3DS allows you to share your running total with friends. If you reach a million coins, you’ll get something special.

They work alot better with there handhelds imo. Sales wise Nintendo never lost the handheld war against Sony and Sega etc. Their home consoles had great third party support until the N64/GC/Wii came around while there handhelds have always great third party support. And even with this whole mobile gaming craze going on its amazing the 3DS sold over 20 million units in a year and a half and is still going strong.
Obviously, Nintendo has been around for decades with multiple platforms that those titles have been on, a lot longer than PlayStation was around. People have grown to love the titles but when it comes to mobile gaming, people aren’t just interested in it. They would work out a lot better on home consoles like everyone has grown up playing on.

I wish they would make a new Yoshi game but in 3D. Like you get to play as a yoshi on yoshi’s island and do tasks etc.

I agree with you that Playstation have many amazing games there are Call of duty games , Assassins creed games , Uncharted games and much much more but not all of them are done by Sony but the best games on Nintendo most of them are Mario , Zelda , Kirby , Metroid , Pikmin and much more games and the amazing games on Nintendo most of them are done by Nintendo so i think Nintendo has more great games then Sony do.

Not only I got the game yesterday. My 3DS came back from repair. problems were that the L button didn’t work, my 3DS wouldn’t charge, and my 3DS wont go 3D.
FINISHED IT IN TEN HOURS AND MISSED 9 STAR COINS AND MISSED 2 MOON COINS . GOT IT SAME DAY IT RELEASED AND ALSO GOT THE NEW AWESOME 3DS XL!
